Deposits that reduce no-shows

Calendars, reminders and client records

Bookings are managed per artist on a digital calendar, and clients can request an online consultation or piercing appointment at any time from a computer, tablet or phone. Each client receives an automatic text message before the appointment, with the lead time chosen by the studio, and an email listing the bookings they have made. The client record keeps the history of each visit: how often the person has come in, whether they missed appointments and which artists they have worked with. Each tattoo's details are recorded too, including placement, size, color, and whether it is black and grey or mixed.

Consent, aftercare and reviews

Studios can send digital consent forms and an ink passport. The client fills in their own details, such as the correct spelling of their name and the date, and confirms the risks and their health before the tattoo is done. The system can send an SMS when the client arrives. Aftercare emails can include product advice and a link to leave a review, which the company describes as a way to build the studio's reputation with future clients. A waiting list records clients who want earlier last-minute appointments, so a cancellation can be filled quickly. The company says a shared inbox is planned for later.
