BLDR

BLDR is a digital agency in Richmond, Virginia, that plans and builds mobile apps, websites and SaaS platforms. Rather than keeping a large permanent staff, it runs as a co-op, drawing in experienced individuals and teams for each project, which it says keeps overheads down and lets it assemble custom teams.

What BLDR offers

• UI/UX design systems — screen designs plus design documentation that helps developers build accurately and add features later.
• Customer validation — talking with customers to test assumptions before a large build.
• Technical documentation — detailed, ready-to-build specifications that reduce uncertainty.
• Build teams and bids — several fixed-scope bids from vetted development teams once the blueprints are ready.
• Project management — management options to keep delivery and launch on schedule.

Who it works with

BLDR works with startups, enterprises, developers and investors. Past projects include an app for applying to medication assistance programmes, a social distancing app, a marketing website for an outdoor living space company and a site for a talent agency. Testimonials come from Slay Like a Mother and Regulr.
