From ten blue links to answer engines: how the role of search engines is changing
AI crawlers read our site ten times more than search engines did in one night. How answer engines, the US Google remedies, the EU DMA fine…
Generative-engine optimisation: a free scan of how three major AI assistants describe and cite your brand, then weekly rescans with change alerts and history. Paid monitoring from $19 a month.
Not yet independently verified. The launch date rests on the maker’s own Show HN post of 1 October 2026. The site names no operating company or location, its figures about a start-up batch are its own, and no independent report was found. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
meraGEO measures how a company appears in the answers of the major AI assistants, a practice now called generative engine optimisation. Its maker presented it on Hacker News on 1 October 2026. The user enters a domain; meraGEO crawls the site to understand the product and its competitors, runs real-world, user-intent queries across three assistants, and returns a visibility score with a breakdown of where the brand is mentioned and where it is missing. The scan is free with no sign-up and takes about 30 seconds, according to the site. Paid plans start at $19 a month for one domain rescanned weekly, with an email when what the assistants say changes and a history of every scan. Results from AI assistants vary between runs and over time, so the scores are best read as a trend rather than a fixed ranking.
