Link exchanges and guest-post brokering, two of its core features, are treated as link schemes under Google's published spam policies, which can cost participating sites their rankings. The date rests only on the maker's own Show HN post, while help pages dated 11 September 2026 show it was running earlier; the pricing page did not render, so figures come from the home page and help centre, and CodeDesign Inc. was not checked on the Delaware register. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

Rankbench is for site owners and content marketers who want keyword planning, drafting and link building in one tool. It audits your site, reads Google Search Console data read-only if you connect it, and ranks fixes by estimated clicks. The content calendar plans 30 days of keywords from Search Console, rank data and subjects you enter, with AI suggestions capped at a quarter of the pool. On Pro, an AI-written draft of about 3,200 words is produced on each scheduled day and sent to WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, Wix, Ghost, Strapi or a signed webhook. It also runs a directory where members arrange link exchanges and guest posts and monitors the resulting links, and on Pro an automatic exchange places members' links inside each other's generated articles in return for credits; marking hosted links as sponsored is a setting rather than the default, and paid placements are agreed between members outside the product. Google's published spam policies treat link exchanges and guest-post links placed to pass ranking credit as link schemes, listing excessive link exchanges, automated link-building services and paid links without a nofollow or sponsored attribute as link spam, and warn that sites breaking them may rank lower or vanish from results; buyers should weigh that risk. Pricing: the audit, guest posts, manual exchange, link monitoring and first 30 keywords are free; Pro is $99 a month per website, and the help centre gives $74 for each further site and 20% off yearly. It is operated by CodeDesign Inc., a Delaware corporation, under Delaware law.
