GoToMyPC

GoToMyPC is remote access software from GoTo for connecting to one's own home or office computer from somewhere else. After the host software is installed on a Windows PC or Mac, the user connects through GoToMyPC's online portal from another PC or Mac, or from an iOS, Android, Linux or Chromebook device. They can then use its files, applications and network as if sitting in front of it. Mobile apps for iPad, iPhone and Android add mouse control, screen zoom and full keyboard access.

GoTo lists these features:

• a screen-sharing viewer;
• drag-and-drop file transfer and remote printing;
• guest invitations;
• active connectivity monitoring.

On security, the vendor names multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, host access codes, account security scoring, free antivirus and 256-bit AES encryption. It says GoToMyPC works with dynamic and static IP addresses, network and port address translation and firewalls, so it fits existing networks without changes. Support is available around the clock.
