Korea K-Startup: Silicon Valley go-to-market programme closes 9 October, Super-Gap host organisation call closes 12 October 2026

4 October 2026 — Two calls on Korea's K-Startup portal close in the coming week. One offers Korean startups go-to-market support in Silicon Valley. The other selects the organisations that will host the 2027 Super-Gap Startup Project, Korea's programme for deep-technology startups.

Not yet independently verified. Both notices are the government's own pages, read in Korean; no English-language or independent report was found. Support amounts are not stated in the parts we read. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

Silicon Valley go-to-market programme (closes 9 October)

The Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development (KISED) Silicon Valley Office posted notice 2026-05 on 18 September 2026. Applications run from 18 September 16:00 to Friday 9 October 2026 at 18:00 Korean time, by email to kisedus@kised.or.kr.

The notice is for startups less than seven years old, or ten years in designated new-industry fields, that are already in Silicon Valley or plan to enter it. Korean startups incorporated overseas and companies that have moved their parent company abroad may also apply. Support covers market-entry strategy, sales approach and partnership strategy, ending in a go-to-market playbook. Applicants send application forms in Korean and English, a company deck, a business registration or corporate certificate, and a credit-information consent form.

2027 Super-Gap Startup Project host organisations (closes 12 October)

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups posted notice 2026-561 on 17 September 2026. Applications run from 17 September 11:00 to Monday 12 October 2026 at 15:00 Korean time.

This call is not for startups. It selects host organisations: technology-commercialisation hosts such as research institutes, public bodies and universities, and investment-attraction hosts such as investor networks. Selection is half document review and half presentation, and selected hosts receive operating costs. The contact is KISED's Deep Tech Strategy Office.

Who should act

  • Korean B2B software and AI founders planning a US launch: the Silicon Valley programme closes on Friday.
  • Korean universities, research institutes and investor networks that want to run part of next year's deep-tech programme: the host call closes on Monday.
  • Foreign investors and partners: the host list chosen in this call shapes which organisations will channel Super-Gap startups in 2027.

What to check

  1. The full notice and attachments on K-Startup, since forms and eligibility details are in Korean.
  2. The exact submission route for each call: email for the Silicon Valley programme, the portal for the host call.
  3. Deadlines are in Korean time (UTC+9): 9 October 18:00 KST is 09:00 UTC, and 12 October 15:00 KST is 06:00 UTC.
