Plant iT

Plant iT is a process control system and manufacturing execution platform made by ProLeiT, a software company based in Herzogenaurach. It runs on programmable controllers and is used mainly in brewing, dairy, beverage, food, chemical and pharmaceutical plants. A sister product, brewmaxx, serves breweries.

What Plant iT offers

• Process control — Plant Direct iT, with a recorder that replays how a process actually ran, plus maintenance functions.
• Batch and recipe control — ISA-88 compliant batch handling and continuous recipe management.
• Production data and MES — Plant Acquis iT for tracking and tracing, order and batch management, materials and warehouse data, and analytics dashboards.
• Energy and line management — modules for energy data and for job order planning and packaging materials.
• Interfaces — standardised ERP connections and a configurable communication interface.

Who it works with

Operators in the food and beverage industry and other process industries. The supplier says its systems run in more than 2,100 production facilities across over 110 countries, and that it supports controllers from Schneider Electric, Siemens and Rockwell Automation.
