Polestar adds two paid Charge tiers with up to 30% off at fast chargers

12 October 2026: Polestar has added two subscription tiers to its Polestar Charge service in Europe: Plus at EUR 7.99 a month and Pro at EUR 14.99 a month. Both discount charging at selected fast-charging networks, and the company says Pro covers more than 118,000 charging points.

Not yet independently verified. The release does not say which networks are discounted in each market or when the new tiers start. Details sit on Plugsurfing, which runs the roaming service. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

What every owner already gets

Polestar Charge gives access to more than 1.25 million public charging points across Europe, including Tesla Superchargers. It works through one account, one app and one card, with Plug & Charge and in-car route planning. The service is included with every Polestar, pre-owned cars among them. The standard tier requires no subscription. Polestar says its owners can reach all of this from a single account, a single app and a single card, and that route planning for charging stops is built into the car.

The paid tiers are measured against the previous subscription offer. Polestar says Plus reaches 26% more discounted points than that offer did, and Pro 43% more.

Plus: 15% off at five networks

Plus is the new entry-level tier. It costs EUR 7.99 a month and gives 15% off at five selected fast-charging networks per market. Polestar says discounts apply at more than 104,000 charging points, 26% more than before.

Pro: 30% off at seven networks

Pro is the strengthened top tier. It costs EUR 14.99 a month and gives 30% off at seven networks per market, including Ionity. It reaches more than 118,000 points, up 43% on the previous offer.

The two tiers sit alongside the standard, non-subscription tier, so an owner who does nothing keeps the access described above at no monthly cost. Of the discounted networks, only Ionity is named in the announcement; the full list per market sits with Plugsurfing. The page gives no fleet or business pricing.

Tier Monthly price Discount Networks per market Discounted points
Standard none none none none
Plus EUR 7.99 15% five more than 104,000
Pro EUR 14.99 30% seven more than 118,000

A record summer

Polestar says owners logged over 160,000 charging sessions this summer, a record for the platform. Chief executive Michael Lohscheller said, "The transition to EVs is accelerating to more than 20% of new car sales in the European Union," and that with Polestar Charge the company makes sure its drivers have convenient access to public charging.

Who is behind it

Polestar is based in Gothenburg, Sweden, and builds electric cars. Plugsurfing, a charging roaming partner, hosts the details of the tiers. Olivier Loedel, Head of Product Software Management at Polestar, said, "Polestar Charge provides users with one of Europe's largest and most convenient charging ecosystems." He added that the expanded offer makes savings on fast charging more affordable through subscriptions that fit customers' needs and driving habits.
