RescueTime

RescueTime is productivity software that records which apps and websites a person uses through the working day and turns that record into reports. It is sold as two tools in one app: Focus, for attention and distraction control, and Timesheets, for logging hours by client, project and task. Both are offered to individuals and to teams.

What RescueTime offers

• RescueTime Focus: tracks apps and websites automatically, with goals, alerts and focus sessions that block distracting sites, apps, email or chat.
• RescueTime Timesheets: logs time against projects, clients and tasks without timers or spreadsheets.
• Reports and invoicing: filtered reports can be turned into client invoices, with a calendar view of each day or week.
• Team features: shows team tool use, productivity trends and work categories, while each member keeps personal Focus features.
• Offline time and access control: manual entry for time away from the computer, and role-based access for teams.

Who it works with

The company names freelancers, small businesses, remote and hybrid teams, agencies and software developers as users, plus professional firms in law, architecture, finance and healthcare.
