1LIMS

1LIMS is a cloud-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) made by a LabTech company in Zurich, Switzerland. It pulls sample data, lab devices and staff work into one configurable system, so quality control teams can drop paper and spreadsheets. It is aimed at manufacturing firms and service laboratories, including smaller ones.

What 1LIMS offers

• Sample management — tracks samples through testing, with comments, photos and files attached for context, to help trace the root causes of quality problems.
• Device management — connects lab instruments and other applications so results are captured without hand entry.
• Master data — keeps contacts, articles, parameters, test plans and items organised in one place.
• Business intelligence — dashboards and filters on any metadata property for spotting patterns in quality data.
• Integration platform — links the LIMS with other systems the lab already runs.

Who it works with

1LIMS lists food, materials, pharma, cosmetics and service laboratories among the sectors it works in. Its stated aims are faster turnaround, higher sample throughput, better traceability and easier inspections and regulatory compliance.
