DeVineWare

DeVineWare makes inventory, distribution and depletion-tracking software for wineries, and says it has been doing so since 2000. Its focus is on smaller wineries that sell through distributors and want their own view of where their wine is placed and who buys it, rather than relying on a wholesaler's sales force.

What it offers

• DeVineWare Cloud: account data, reports, contacts and notes available on phones, tablets and browsers.
• Depletion tracking: account-level depletion and ending-inventory updates, which it lists as daily, weekly or bi-weekly.
• Relationship management: sales history tied to contact notes, so a winery can manage key accounts and support communication between distributors and restaurants.
• Wine Locator: an iPhone and Android app, also offered as an add-in for a winery's own website, that helps consumers find its wines at retailers and restaurants, with placement data refreshed monthly.
• Integrations: it names Nexternal, VinNOW, QuickBooks, eWinery and eCellar as partners.

The firm says its team has more than sixty years of combined wine industry experience. Wineries quoted or listed on its site include Ramey Wine Cellars, Hanzell Vineyards, Kistler Vineyards, Talley Vineyards and Mt. Beautiful Wines of New Zealand.
