Cygrid is a Berlin identity security company whose platform maps human, machine and AI agent identities, decides what each may do, and blocks or rewrites risky actions before they execute.
Cygrid GmbH is a Berlin software company that builds an identity enforcement platform for organisations adopting AI agents. Its starting point is that most attacks now come through identities that are already trusted, such as service accounts, OAuth tokens held by connected apps and AI agents with broad access, which pass a login check without difficulty. Cygrid came out of stealth in October 2026 with a €2.66 million pre-seed round.
Cygrid maps every identity in a company, from employees and service accounts to AI agents, into a single graph, which it calls the Identity Intelligence Graph. It scores what each identity should be allowed to do and then acts at the point where an identity takes an action on sensitive information: a forgotten token can be revoked, and a risky command issued by an AI agent can be rewritten or blocked before it runs. The company describes this as continuous, real-time enforcement rather than access control at sign-in. It runs in production on Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, GitHub, Slack and HubSpot environments.
Mid-sized and larger companies that are connecting AI agents and third-party apps to their systems, with design partners in fintech, e-commerce and SaaS. Cygrid says it had more than 20 design partners before launch and names Barfer's and Horizn Studios as customers. It says it won a grant from Germany's federal AI Nation programme and was selected for PwC Germany's Responsible AI programme.
