Northstar Security raises $7m seed to give security AI agents context

Northstar Security's Security Context Graph links assets, identities and vulnerabilities so AI agents can find and fix risk; it emerged from stealth in October 2026 with $7 million in seed funding.
Security teams often lose hours moving between consoles to answer one question about a single risk, and Northstar Security was built to shorten that. The company came out of stealth in October 2026 with $7 million in seed funding.
At the centre of the product is the Security Context Graph, a real-time map of how assets, identities, vulnerabilities, applications and business systems relate to each other. Humans and AI agents work from the same view of the environment. Analysts can put questions to it in plain language, and the company says the graph also exposes what it calls toxic combinations, where several small issues add up to a serious one. Its own example is an unprotected laptop belonging to a privileged user who can reach a payroll system.
Three capabilities are described: connected security context across existing systems, risk intelligence that ranks issues by business impact, and agentic remediation. In the laptop example, the platform could deploy endpoint protection, notify the owner or restrict risky access, coordinating across systems and teams with human oversight where appropriate. The graph is also exposed over the Model Context Protocol, so external AI agents can query it and organizations can build their own workflows.
More than 70 integrations are listed, including AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra, Okta, GitHub, Slack, Workday and Zendesk. The website groups the work into endpoint security hygiene, identity and access security, exposure management, vulnerability prioritization and asset visibility. The company shows a SOC 2 badge, monitored through Scrut, and takes demo requests through its website.
The seed round was led by Wing Venture Capital, with MVP, Outliers and security veterans Gerhard Eschelbeck, Renaud Deraison and Justin Somaini also investing. The money goes to product development, hiring and go-to-market. Co-founder and CEO Amer Deeba previously co-founded Normalyze, later acquired by Proofpoint, and held senior roles at Qualys. Co-founder and CTO Ed Rowe was CTO of Farmers Business Network and SVP of Engineering at AppDynamics.
