Pluto Security comes out of stealth with $42m for AI agent security
A year after it was founded, the Israeli company says it secures more than 1.5 million endpoints and has reached multi-million-dollar…
Opsin sells AI agent governance and security: it finds agents across Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude enterprise platforms, scores their risk and can quarantine them.
Opsin is a security software company whose product governs the AI agents that enterprises build on approved AI platforms. It started by helping companies find sensitive data that AI assistants could overshare, and has widened its focus to the identities, intents, connectors, tool calls and permissions of agents. Its co-founder and chief executive is James Pham.
Opsin builds a common model of agents across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Claude Enterprise, ChatGPT Enterprise and Gemini, connecting by API. It assesses each agent's posture, meaning its connectors, tool calls and sharing scope, and its behaviour at run time, such as reaching data outside its role or returning sensitive results to users whose role does not match. These signals feed the Opsin Risk Graph, which links each agent's purpose, data access and identity with its ongoing activity to spot deviations. When an agent crosses a policy boundary, Opsin can quarantine it, block the action or notify the agent's owner of what to fix. The company offers a first risk assessment within 24 hours of connection.
Opsin says its customers range from mid-sized enterprises to the Fortune 500, in healthcare, financial services, manufacturing and other regulated industries. Its site carries customer stories from Encore, Cascade and Culligan about preparing Microsoft Copilot deployments, protecting CMMC data and reducing sensitive data in Copilot results, and a quote from UiPath's vice-president of IT about governing custom GPTs and ChatGPT Enterprise.
James Pham previously led machine-learning security products at Abnormal Security and holds an MBA from MIT. In October 2026 Opsin announced $21 million in funding led by SYN Ventures and Race Capital, to be used for product development, supporting more enterprises in regulated industries and hiring.
