Infisical raises $40m Series B to secure credentials used by AI agents
Elad Gil led again after the Series A. Infisical says it has 1,300 customers, is cash-flow positive, and will push Agent Vault, which keeps…
Open source security infrastructure for developers and AI agents: secrets management, certificates, privileged access and Agent Vault, with a self-hosted MIT-licensed core and a managed cloud.
Infisical sells security infrastructure for developers and, increasingly, for AI agents. Its core platform is open source under the MIT licence and can be self-hosted; Infisical Cloud is the managed version, with regions in the United States and the European Union. The company lists offices in San Francisco and Austin.
Infisical has four products. Secrets Management lets applications, CI jobs and agents fetch credentials at runtime instead of keeping them in files or in source control. Agent Vault is aimed at AI agents: an agent calls a third-party API without ever holding the credential, because a forward proxy adds it at the network boundary and session logs record each request.
Certificate Management runs root and intermediate certificate authorities, issues certificates over ACME, SCEP or EST, renews them before they expire and inventories certificates it did not issue itself. Privileged Access gives people time-bound, approved and recorded sessions on databases and servers without exposing the underlying credential.
The site names Databricks, LG Electronics, UPS, Hinge Health, Lucid, Hugging Face, Writer, OpenRouter and Excalidraw as customers and says it secures more than 10 billion secrets a day. Secrets Management is billed per identity and has a free tier of five identities, unlimited projects and three environments; Privileged Access is billed per user, and Certificate Management at a fixed monthly fee. Self-hosting the open source core is free. The company states SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA and GDPR compliance, and FIPS 140-3 validated modules when FIPS mode is switched on.
