Asuene

New· 4

Tokyo company behind a CO2 and ESG data platform that calculates Scope 1 to 3 emissions, surveys suppliers and drafts disclosure reports, with group companies in the US and UK.

TrustList summary

Asuene Co., Ltd. (アスエネ株式会社) of Minato-ku, Tokyo, builds the ASUENE platform for measuring and reporting greenhouse gas emissions, and its site says more than 22,000 companies have signed up. On 4 November 2026 it announced that JICT, a Japanese government-backed overseas support fund, took 49 percent of ASUENE EUROPE Holdings Ltd. through a third-party share allotment.

Counting emissions from Scope 1 to Scope 3

The main product calculates Scope 1 to 3 emissions on the GHG Protocol, with settings for emission factors and boundaries. Data can come from AI-OCR, manual or template entry and bulk import, and electricity usage can be linked from smart meters at 30-minute intervals. Beyond carbon, it tracks water, waste, energy, chemicals under the PRTR system and air pollutants. Other modules cover product carbon footprints and LCA, financed emissions under PCAF, group-wide consolidation, reduction roadmaps and renewable energy or credit procurement.

Surveying suppliers across the chain

A supply chain survey module collects calculation data from suppliers automatically, and product footprints are positioned for CBAM and digital product passport work. ASUENE Supply Chain manages supplier surveys, while ASUENE ESG rates suppliers. The company adds that reports can be produced for Japan's energy conservation and climate laws, CDP, SBTi, TCFD and TNFD, CSRD, SSBJ, GRI and ISSB, with an AI feature drafting disclosure text.

Secaro and the JICT investment in Europe

In July 2026 Asuene acquired all shares of 2degrees Ltd., the UK operator of the Secaro supply chain CO2 platform, which the release says reaches over 90 countries and more than 8,000 manufacturers. The JICT stake follows an earlier joint investment in the US company NZero. JICT senior director Kawasaki (川崎 望) became an outside director of ASUENE EUROPE Holdings and 2degrees. The company says the partnership will support European regulatory research, local partnerships and expansion in Europe and the US, and that NZero and other group services will be offered to Secaro's customers and suppliers.
