Linkener raises €7.5m from Alantra's Klima fund for energy software

19 October 2026: Linkener, a Valencia company that sells an energy management system to businesses, has closed a €7.5 million investment round led by Klima Energy Transition Fund, Alantra's energy transition fund, with GoHub Ventures investing again. The money goes into its product, its own AI models and acquisitions of complementary firms.

Not yet independently verified. Linkener does not state the round's stage, and some Spanish press reports name Enagás alongside Alantra as backer of the Klima fund, which Linkener's own post does not mention. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

The round and what it pays for

Linkener announced the round on its blog on 19 October. It says the new resources will go "entirely" to evolving the product, accelerating technology development and AI applied to the energy sector, and that it will combine organic growth with buying and integrating technology and service companies so that customers get a more complete service. The company calls itself profitable and says the round makes it the most heavily funded energy technology company in Spain, a claim we have not checked.

"This round will let us speed up the transformation of a very fragmented sector, where energy management is still stuck in practices from 40 years ago," said José Ignacio Ruiz, chief executive (our translation).

What the platform does

Linkener's product is what it calls an intelligent energy management system, SIGE, built on its own metering hardware. It lets companies measure consumption with independent data, digitise and validate their energy bills, analyse each supply point and get savings alerts in real time; Linkener also pulls data from Datadis, the Spanish distributors' metering platform. An engineering team turns what the data shows into projects, and the company says it has completed more than 400 solar and storage projects across Spain. More than 500 energy advisers, retailers and engineering firms use the technology for their own clients.

The company's own figures: more than 2,000 customers, 10,000 supply points, 1.7 TWh of energy a year under management, and more than €15 million a year saved by customers. It also says almost 60% of business energy bills it reviews contain errors or room for optimisation.

The AI work it plans

The AI work aims at three things: automating the analysis and validation of bills, consumption data and contracts; detecting anomalies and savings opportunities without manual review; and moving customers from monthly bills to continuous visibility. Our energy management software category lists 10 products.
