Zeekr 009

The 009 is Zeekr's electric luxury people carrier, built for passengers who want space and comfort. It is 5,209 mm long and 2,024 mm wide with a 3,205 mm wheelbase, and Zeekr describes 7.4 square metres of interior space. A four-seat flagship version, the 009 Grand, is listed separately. Zeekr's figures come from initial testing of a Mainland China model and may change.

Battery and performance

The car carries a 140 kWh CTP 3.0 Kirin battery, which Zeekr calls the first production battery of that capacity, and quotes a CLTC range of up to 822 km. Peak power is 400 kW, and the rear motor uses silicon carbide technology with a stated maximum efficiency of 98.5 percent. Zeekr gives 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The drag coefficient is 0.27.

Seats and cabin

The first-class airline-style seats are trimmed in soft Nappa full-grain leather, with a 7-layer heating structure and cushions up to 12 cm thick. Zeekr measures noise inside the cabin at 64.5 dB when driving at 120 km/h. Twenty Yamaha hi-fi speakers provide the audio, and the lighting covers the ceiling and side doors with colour that changes in rhythm. A 15.6 inch ceiling screen with a five-step angle lets second and third row passengers watch content, and a dual 8295 cockpit runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon platform with a multi-screen system developed by Zeekr.

Exterior

An intelligent front grille with a customisable light system is a feature of the front end. The 1.47 m integrated tail light bar and hidden dual A-pillar curved glass complete the look.

Driver assistance and structure

The sensor set is seven 8 MP high-definition cameras, four 2 MP surround-view cameras and one 250 m ultra-long-range millimeter-wave radar. The car receives over-the-air updates across many systems. The rear end is a single-piece aluminium casting made on a 7,200-ton die-casting machine, and 133 mm aluminium side impact beams sit beside the battery.
