Zeekr 001

The 001 is Zeekr's shooting brake, a long-roof body that Zeekr describes as taking inspiration from classic styling and adding muscular coupe lines. It suits drivers who want estate-like practicality with a fast, stylish car, and it is the first model listed on Zeekr's global site. Zeekr's figures come from initial testing of a Mainland China model and may change.

Batteries and performance

Two packs are named: a 100 kWh Qilin battery and a 95 kWh Shenxing battery. The rear-drive version is quoted at 750 km on the CLTC cycle. The all-wheel-drive car delivers 580 kW of peak power, 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 240 km/h. Seven driving modes cover Comfort, Economy, Sport, Snow, Sand, Off-road and a personalised setting.

Inside the cabin

The seats are Monaco Nappa full-grain leather with ventilation, massage and heating. The cabin has 64-colour ambient lighting, a 10-zone, 10-level dimming sunroof, and a Yamaha surround sound system built from 28 speakers. A Zeekr cinema mode links film scenes to the cabin audio, seats, climate control, ambient lighting and fragrance. The cockpit combines a 15.05 inch OLED central screen, a 35.5 inch AR head-up display, a 13.02 inch instrument panel and a 6 inch rear touchscreen, all running on Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chips. A voice assistant handles music, navigation and temperature.

Exterior and practicality

The headlights use 64 independently controlled LEDs for an adaptive high beam, and the 1.47 m full-width tail light bar is integrated into the body. The four frameless doors open automatically and use radar to avoid obstacles. An intelligent electric trailer hitch kit is listed for outdoor trips.

Driver assistance and structure

Zeekr AD uses one lidar, one long-range millimeter-wave radar rated at 250 m, four long-range and eight short-range ultrasonic radars, and twelve high-definition cameras. The car receives over-the-air updates. The rear of the body uses an integrated die-cast aluminium section that cuts 74 parts and nearly 800 welding points.
