Sources in Vehicle factsThe ID.7 is the electric car for people who cover real distance and want to do it in a comfortable, quiet fastback. Volkswagen describes it as combining range, faster charging, space and comfort, and the UK range is built around long-legged versions with plenty of equipment as standard. An estate body, the ID.7 Tourer, is listed separately.
There are two batteries, 77 kWh and 86 kWh. The combined WLTP range is 364 to 433 miles (about 586 to 697 km), with the longest range coming from the 86 kWh pack. The Pro Match Plus with the 77 kWh battery and 286 PS is quoted at 380 miles on the WLTP cycle. A heat pump supports the car in cold temperatures, and WeCharge in the Volkswagen app helps find charging stations. Volkswagen is offering an Ohme home charger for £199 with a new ID.7 ordered by 31 December 2026, with installation completed within three months of delivery.
The 0 to 62 mph time is 5.4 to 6.6 seconds. The cabin has a Smart Glass panoramic roof, Climatronic seats, ErgoPremium seats, electric air vents on the digital cockpit, ambient lighting and ID. Sound. An augmented-reality head-up display, a voice assistant and IQ.LIGHT matrix headlights are listed too. On the Pro Match Plus, standard equipment includes 19 inch Hudson alloy wheels, a 15 inch infotainment display, heated front seats, Area View with a rear-view camera and keyless access. Driver assistance includes Connected Travel Assist, Park Assist Plus and Side Assist, and an electric towing bracket is available.
The UK trims are Pro Match Plus, Pro S Match Plus and GTX Plus. Euro NCAP gave the ID.7 five stars in 2023, and the battery warranty is 8 years or 160,000 km. A 100-day return offer applies to new ID. models ordered after 3 November 2025.
