Compact battery-electric hatchback sold in the UK with three battery sizes and a WLTP range of up to 371 miles.
Made by Volkswagen Group
The ID.3 is Volkswagen's compact battery-electric hatchback, sold in the UK in Pure, Pro and Pro S versions plus a GTX Performance model. The UK page describes a combined WLTP range of 240 to 371 miles, which is roughly 386 to 597 km, depending on the version chosen. Acceleration from rest to 62 mph is quoted between 5.7 and 8.2 seconds across the range.
Three battery sizes are offered: 52 kWh, 59 kWh and 79 kWh. The longest quoted range of 371 miles belongs to the largest pack, and the figure used in the specification reflects that upper limit. The page lists Plug & Charge, which lets the car identify itself to a compatible public charger without a card or app. It also mentions a heat pump, which helps heating efficiency in cold weather. Charging speed, charge time and port type are not given on this page, so they are left out here.
Each of the Pure, Pro and Pro S lines comes in Essential and Match grades, with the GTX Performance at the top. Equipment highlighted by Volkswagen includes an augmented-reality head-up display, a panoramic glass roof and a voice assistant that uses ChatGPT. For driving help the page names Travel Assist, described as keeping the car in its lane. UK buyers may qualify for the Electric Car Grant on selected versions where the final price stays under 42,000 pounds, and a 100-day return offer applies to new ID. orders placed from November 2025.
