TrustList summary

The Nevera is a car for the very few: an all-electric, two-seat hypercar designed, engineered and handcrafted at Rimac's headquarters in Croatia, with production limited to 150 units. It suits a collector or enthusiast who wants extreme acceleration from an electric drivetrain and is happy to buy something that is built in small numbers, from the battery pack and motors to the buttons on the steering wheel, all developed in-house.

Performance

Four independent permanent-magnet motors drive all four wheels through their own inverters and gearboxes, with software-controlled torque vectoring. Total output is 1,408 kW (1,914 hp), with 2,340 Nm of motor torque and 13,430 Nm at the wheels. Rimac quotes 1.74 seconds from 0 to 60 mph, 1.81 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, 9.22 seconds from 0 to 300 km/h and 8.25 seconds over the 402 metre quarter mile, all with a one-foot roll-out. Top speed is 412 km/h (258 mph).

Battery and charging

The battery is a 120 kWh liquid-cooled pack of 6,960 cylindrical 21700 cells in a lithium manganese nickel chemistry, with a maximum voltage of 730 V. Rimac gives a WLTP range of 489 km, based on final testing, and WLTP combined consumption of 30.0 kWh/100 km. On a DC Combo connector, Rimac quotes 19 minutes from 0 to 80 percent at 500 kW, 25 minutes at 350 kW and 30 minutes at 250 kW. The on-board AC charger is three-phase and rated at 22 kW.

Structure and equipment

The passenger cell is a carbon fibre monocoque with an integrated structural battery pack and a bonded carbon fibre roof, with carbon fibre and aluminium crash structures. The brakes are an electro-hydraulic brake-by-wire system with 390 mm six-piston calipers front and rear. The car is 4,745 mm long, 2,052 mm wide and 1,240 mm high on a 2,745 mm wheelbase, and weighs 2,300 kg. Driver assistance hardware is 13 cameras, 6 radars and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
