The Renault Megane E-Tech electric is a five-seat electric hatchback with 220 hp, equal to 160 kW. The United Kingdom page shows two versions, Techno and esprit Alpine, and describes a new comfort range battery of 67 kWh. Adjustable regenerative braking is controlled with paddles on the steering wheel, and the car can be driven with one pedal.
Renault quotes a WLTP range of up to 306 miles for the Techno version, about 492 km, and says the figure is for comparison only because real-world results vary. A footnote refers to a standard 165 kW charger for the Techno, and the stated time from 15 percent to 80 percent is 24 minutes under the footnote conditions.
Named driver assistance features include contextual adaptive cruise control, an occupant safe exit alert and a 360 degree 3D around-view camera. A footnote refers to up to 30 safety features in total on the esprit Alpine version. The openR link multimedia system has a 12 inch screen on the Techno version, with Google built-in, a voice assistant, Google Maps navigation and more than 100 apps through Google Play. The page says the car receives remote updates through FOTA technology. The My Renault app lets owners manage the vehicle remotely and needs a compatible iOS or Android phone; some services may involve mobile network charges.
The Techno starts at 28,245 pounds and the esprit Alpine at 31,245 pounds. Both prices include the 3,750 pound Electric Car Grant and exclude metallic paint.
