TrustList summary

The Polestar 2 is the one to consider if you want an electric fastback with a lower, sportier seating position than an SUV and a choice between one motor and two. Polestar began producing it in 2020, and it remains in the current UK range. Euro NCAP gave it five stars in 2021.

Range, power and price

The Long range Single motor car is quoted at up to 409 miles of WLTP range, about 658 km. The most powerful version, the Long range Dual motor with the Performance pack, reaches up to 350 kW and 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, and Polestar gives its energy consumption as 27.0 to 27.2 kWh per 100 miles. The UK starting price is £45,210. Polestar is also offering £5,000 off the vehicle list price on orders placed between 1 October 2026 and 6 January 2027, for customers choosing Polestar Loan or Direct Payments or other financing, along with a Zaptec home charger for £495.

Inside and technology

Polestar describes the interior as responsibly sourced, minimalistic and modern, and an option adds a Bowers and Wilkins sound system. A built-in voice assistant can control climate settings, plan routes and hold a conversation. Regular over-the-air updates are included, and one year of connected services plus covers web browsing, apps, music streaming and real-time traffic. The Polestar Charge app brings the largest charging networks in Europe into one app, with access to over 1.2 million charging stations.

Warranty and support

The vehicle warranty is three years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The battery is covered for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, about 160,934 km, and Polestar repairs or replaces the battery at no cost if its state of health falls below 70 percent of its original capacity in that period. A 12-year corrosion warranty applies, and every new Polestar comes with three years of free roadside assistance. Polestar does not state a battery capacity, charging speed or charge port.
