Sources in Vehicle factsThe Micra is Nissan's electric city car, for a driver who mostly does short trips but wants the option of a motorway run. It has five doors and five seats, and Nissan describes it as stylish and compact, with two-tone paint options. The UK range has Engage, Advance and Evolve grades.
There are two batteries. Nissan quotes up to 196 miles of WLTP range for the 40 kWh battery and up to 257 miles for the 52 kWh battery. The Evolve grade appears only with the 52 kWh battery. Nissan quotes a charge from 15 to 80 percent in 30 minutes on a public charger, and the 52 kWh car is rated for DC charging at up to 100 kW through a CCS 2 socket. Vehicle-to-Load technology lets the battery power laptops, e-bikes or camping gear.
The Engage grade has 18 inch wheels. The Advance adds dual 10.1 inch screens, and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon sound system is listed. Buyers can choose from three interiors.
Nissan names ProPILOT Assist with Navi-Link, which it describes as adaptive cruise control for highways only, along with Intelligent Emergency Braking, the Around View Monitor and parking sensors with a camera. The MyNISSAN app lets owners locate the car, set the cabin temperature in advance, start charging remotely and schedule off-peak charging. The separate Nissan Charge app helps drivers find public chargers.
Nissan's UK warranty page gives the Micra a battery warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles, and Nissan also offers up to six years of vehicle warranty when the car is serviced with Nissan.
