Sources in Vehicle factsThe T03 is the smallest Leapmotor, a city hatchback for people who park on the street, drive short distances and still want a well-equipped cabin. Leapmotor describes it as compact in size but big on moments, and the interior offers headroom of up to 950 mm in the front and 960 mm in the rear.
A 37.3 kWh battery feeds a 94 hp motor. Leapmotor quotes 0 to 100 km/h in 12.7 seconds and a top speed of 130 km/h, which suits town driving and the occasional dual carriageway. The T03 accepts DC fast charging at up to 45 kW and is rated at no tailpipe CO2.
The boot holds 240 litres and grows to 1,040 litres with the rear seats folded. Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof with electric sunshade, 15 inch alloy wheels, electric air conditioning, a 10.1 inch central screen with navigation, Wi-Fi and 4G, an 8 inch digital instrument cluster, six speakers and app control. Front and rear electric windows, an electronic handbrake and a power-adjustable rear-view mirror are fitted, and the steering wheel is synthetic leather.
The T03 has driver and front passenger airbags, front side airbags and side curtain airbags. The Level 2 driver-assistance suite covers adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, intelligent speed assist, blind spot detection and lane keeping assist, with rear parking sensors and a rear-view camera. Over-the-air updates are supported, and the Leapmotor App works as a remote control. The battery warranty is up to 8 years or 160,000 km.
