Leapmotor B03X

What it is

The B03X is a compact electric crossover, 4.27 metres long with a 5 metre turning radius. The boot holds 405 litres and up to 510 litres with the GigaBox, per the FAQ, and the cabin offers 33 storage compartments. Seven airbags are fitted, and the Design trim adds extra seat comfort and parking aids.

Versions and charging

The Pro has a 39.8 kWh battery, 301 km of WLTP range and 100 kW peak DC charging. The ProMax has a 53.0 kWh battery, 401 km of range, 197 hp and 133 kW charging. Both are front-wheel drive, take 8.6 seconds for 0 to 100 km/h and charge from 30 to 80 percent in 16 minutes. Consumption is 15.1 to 15.3 kWh per 100 km.

Trims and technology

The Life trim brings 18 inch wheels, LED headlights, roof rails, a 14.6 inch central screen, an 8.8 inch digital cluster, six speakers and smartphone mirroring. Design adds a six-way electric driver seat, heated front seats and steering wheel, front parking sensors, a 360 degree camera and a 12 speaker audio system.

Software and ownership

The car runs LEAP OS 4.0 with over-the-air updates covering features, security patches and driver-assistance changes. The Leapmotor App acts as a Bluetooth digital key and handles remote locking, climate control and charging schedules. Leapmotor states a battery warranty of up to 8 years or 160,000 km.
