The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) now has the application ready for therapists to begin the enrollment process to obtain a State Provider Number, which is required by the Affordable Care Act (ACA) The “Order, Refer, Prescribe” (ORP) mandate requires that all Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists and Audiologists that perform ORP services must be enrolled in the State’s Medicaid Program

Cost Report and Final Settlement

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is working on the Cost Reporting and Final Settlement process Ideally, Cost Reports should be filed within 18 months of the end of the school fiscal year (SFY), with Final Settlements paid within 24 months of the end of the SFY

All Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Therapists and Audiologists are required to obtain a "National Provider Identification" (NPI) number

An NPI number is a unique 10-digit identification number issued to healthcare providers by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)
