Hue

Simulated, stateful copies of Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, Notion and QuickBooks where teams test AI agents before letting them touch real accounts, with worlds built from a description or from production traces.

TrustList summary

Not yet independently verified. Hue states SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and HIPAA compliance on its home page; its trust centre gives the reports only on request, so we have not seen them. It names no customers, and we have found no independent review. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

An AI agent that sends email, updates a CRM or posts to a ledger cannot be tested safely against the real accounts, and mocked API responses do not remember what the agent did a step earlier. Hue, made by Hue Intelligence Inc. in San Francisco, gives agents simulated copies of the business apps they work in, with state that persists through a run.

Worlds that behave like the real apps

Hue's simulations cover Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, Notion and QuickBooks among others. A test world can be generated from a written description of the scenario or rebuilt from an agent's real production traces, captured through Hue's SDK or OpenTelemetry. Each run is scored, so a team can compare two versions of its agent on the same world before shipping a change.

Agents connect over an API, through MCP, or through the Composio and Pipedream integration platforms, and they run in the customer's own process; Hue supplies the environment around them. The product is aimed at teams building agents that act in third-party software on a customer's behalf.

Compliance claims and the name

Hue states on its home page that it is SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and HIPAA compliant, with documents available from its trust centre on request, and says it is backed by investors from Y Combinator, Cursor, Clay and Vercel. It is unrelated to the Philips lighting brand and to the open-source Hue SQL editor.

The founders are Aneesh Kethini, the chief executive, who was a product manager for Datadog's AI site reliability work and a quantitative trader at SIG, and Josh Le, the chief technology officer, who has worked in engineering at Apple, Gusto and Wayfair.
