Turns browser end-to-end test runs into narrated product demos that are re-checked on a schedule, so a demo cannot drift from what shipped. Open-source CLI; hosted Team plan at $39 a month.

Specreel makes product demos that are also end-to-end tests. Its starting point is that a recorded browser flow serves both purposes, so it treats them as one artefact: a team pastes its app's URL, or points Specreel at existing Playwright trace files, and gets a gallery of narrated, shareable demos. The demos are re-checked on a schedule or republished on every passing build through a GitHub Action, and a flow that breaks turns the build red instead of publishing a wrong demo; flows whose steps changed but still pass get an "updated" badge. The maker says captions are written from the recorded clicks and assertions without AI, and a scaffolding command can draft tests from a URL for teams that have none. An MCP server lets coding agents such as Claude Code or Cursor run the whole loop on request. The command-line tool is open source under the AGPL, written in Python, and runs on the user's own machine. The hosted cloud is free for one project, and the Team plan costs $39 a month after a 14-day trial, according to its site. Specreel launched on Product Hunt on 14 October 2026.
