Polygrade raises $6.3m seed for AI agents that handle warranty claims
The Toronto company, formerly called ProPay, emerges from stealth with two named home warranty customers and plans to move into extended…
Polygrade is an AI platform that automates the claims lifecycle for home warranty businesses. Its site says it handles first notice of loss, triage, parts, authorisation and payments faster and with fewer errors, and it is aimed at warranty companies and the service providers who carry out repairs. Operations, executive, data and customer support teams are the people it names as users.
The platform is organised as a set of agents. An intake agent takes claims by voice, text, SMS and chat. A triage agent pre-diagnoses the failure and adds appliance details to the claim. An authorisation agent compares the proposed spend with policy terms and claim history. A parts ordering agent decides what to buy by price or by a company's own rules, and a payment function completes payouts and reconciliation.
Polygrade reports more than 44,500 claims processed, 13.6 million dollars in potential savings identified, a 55 per cent drop in incorrect dispatches and an 8 per cent drop in truck rolls. Its copyright line names ProPay AI, Inc as the operating company. The site does not give an address; news reports place it in Toronto. Pricing is not published.
