Norwegian conversational AI company founded in 2016, selling a platform for chat and voice virtual agents, agent assist and agentic AI to banks, insurers, telecoms and the public sector.
Boost.ai sells a conversational AI platform that organisations use to run virtual agents over chat and voice. The product range covers the core platform, voice, chat, agentic AI features and integrations with other business systems, and an agent assist tool that supports human customer service staff while they work.
The company was founded in Norway in 2016, when a small group of developers began building an automation tool for a local bank. It now names financial services, insurance, telecoms, the public sector and hospitality among the sectors it serves, for customer self-service as well as internal support. Telenor is the customer its site puts forward, quoting the operator's chief operating officer on the results of its virtual agent, Telmi.
Boost.ai says it has offices in six markets across the United States, Europe and the Nordics and works through partners and resellers. Its own figures are more than 600 live AI agents, more than 4,500 certified AI trainers and more than 150 million automated conversations. It has been backed by the private equity investor Nordic Capital, and in October 2026 Automation Anywhere agreed to acquire it, with closing expected in the fourth quarter of 2026 subject to regulatory approval. Prices are not published.
