About Velu

Not yet independently verified. The launch date rests on the maker’s own Show HN post of 1 October 2026. The site names no operating company or location, and no independent report was found. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.

Velu is a product-documentation platform that its maker presented on Hacker News on 1 October 2026 as a lower-cost alternative to established developer-docs tools. It publishes documentation sites with custom domains, branding, search and API playgrounds, and is built to be read by AI agents as well as people: it keeps llms.txt and skill files up to date automatically and runs an MCP server so coding assistants can query the docs directly. An AI assistant answers readers’ questions with citations to the pages it used, and Velu can watch for product changes and propose documentation updates as pull requests. Projects are set up from the command line with an npm package. Its own pricing page lists a team plan at $49 a month with flat pricing and no per-seat fees.
