Creative Concern

Creative Concern developed the project brand, website, launch film and marketing strategy and worked to amplify the message and share the comic artwork with the world once published
Ten leading comic artists, with a diverse range of styles developed new creative work in response to the climate crisis Their work has been informed and shaped by young people from both countries who took part in online discussions to develop the brief for the artists The focus groups were led and facilitated by Creative Concern
The Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research is our project advisor and we are also working collaboratively with Friends of the Earth 10 Years to Save the World Exhibition at MediaCity Film on the big screen at MediaCity The comic art anthology was aunched in the Philippines in September 2021 and in the UK at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival in Kendal October 15 – 17 A public exhibition of the work also took place in Kendal, Manchester and at MediaCity at Salford Quays The comic artwork can be seen at www 10yearstosavetheworld com The comics content was viewed over 470,000 times on social media platforms 55,000 engagements took place on social media platforms Over 210,000 page views on the project website Seven online events involving nearly 600 participants Extensive coverage secured on TV, Radio and online Over 2,000 visitors to the 10 Years to Save the World exhibitions in Kendal, Manchester and MediaCity:UK Salford The project continues with exhibitions in UK libraries in 2022
