OpenSRS is a wholesale platform from Tucows that lets resellers sell domains, hosting, email and SSL certificates under their own brand.
OpenSRS is a wholesale platform owned by Tucows. It is built for resellers, such as digital agencies, managed service providers, e-commerce platforms, hosting companies, website builders and AI developers, who sell domain names and related services to their own customers under their own brand. Its site says it has operated since 2000.
The platform covers domain registration (more than 700 top-level domains), hosting (including an AWS-based cloud hosting service for resellers), white-label email, and TLS/SSL certificates, including wildcard, SAN, DV, OV and EV types, plus SiteLock. Resellers can sell in three ways: a Storefront with an on-brand domain search and checkout, a Control Panel for registering and managing services on behalf of customers, or an API (with plugins such as WHMCS) that connects their own systems, which needs integration work. All products are white-label. The site states that there are no monthly fees or minimum purchase requirements, and that expert support is available around the clock.
Because it is a wholesale service, a buyer signs up as a reseller, sets their own retail prices and handles first-line support for their own customers, while the platform provides the registrar systems behind the scenes.
