MEGA S4 is the object storage product of MEGA, a cloud storage and communications company whose terms name Mega Privacy (NZ) Limited, with a registered office in Auckland, New Zealand, as one of its contracting entities. MEGA mainly sells consumer and business file storage, and S4 is its separate infrastructure offering for developers and organisations.
S4 is S3-compatible, so it works with the S3 tools and SDKs customers already use, and it is aimed at backup and archive use, media files and general application storage. The company says capacity can grow from gigabytes to petabytes with no upper limit, that there are no API charges and no minimum storage period, and that egress up to five times the stored amount is included. Smaller backup plans are also listed.
The page also compares S4 against Amazon S3, Azure and Google Cloud through a cost calculator. According to its object storage page in October 2026, the pay-as-you-grow plan is 3.50 euros per terabyte per month, with a 3 TB package available from 15 euros.
