The maker is named on the site as Desklamp, Inc. of Wilmington, Delaware, and the MCP repository is MIT-licensed, but no independent report of this release was found. Clueso MCP is a connector from Desklamp, Inc., of Wilmington, Delaware, that exposes the company’s video and documentation product to any client speaking the Model Context Protocol; the site names Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Cursor. The server is reached at a hosted endpoint over OAuth 2.0 rather than by managing an API key locally, and the public repository that documents it is MIT-licensed. The tools it exposes are granular edits to a video timeline rather than one "make me a video" call, with a scripting tool on top so a client can chain them; brand guidelines are applied by the account rather than restated in each request. The listed uses are product walkthroughs, feature announcements, tutorials, sales demos, training material and customer onboarding, and existing videos can be uploaded and re-edited. Pricing is not shown on the connector page — there is a free tier and an enterprise tier, with the detail on the main pricing page — so the cost of putting an agent in front of it depends on the underlying plan rather than on the connector. The question to ask before wiring this into an assistant is who can call it: an MCP server authorised against a shared account gives whatever sits on the other end of the chat the same reach into the video library as a person with the password.
