Amprius

Amprius Technologies manufactures batteries using a silicon anode design, which it says allows for a higher energy density than conventional alternatives. Its cells are used in applications including unmanned and manned aviation, electric vehicles, drones and wearables, and it lists partnerships with aviation companies Prismatic and AALTO, whose high-altitude aircraft use its batteries for extended flight endurance.

The company manufactures at a site in Fremont, California, at what it describes as megawatt-hour scale, alongside gigawatt-hour-scale manufacturing partnerships in China, with plans to expand into other parts of Asia and into Europe. It positions its products around faster charging, longer range and operation across a wide temperature range, including cold conditions.
