About SourceGear Vault

SourceGear Vault is a version control product with a Pro edition that adds bug tracking. It uses a client and server design on Microsoft SQL Server and IIS web services, and it was built for teams moving off Visual SourceSafe.

What SourceGear Vault offers

Atomic commits — source changes are saved as single operations in a SQL Server database.
Remote access — client and server talk over HTTP using compression and binary deltas.
Work item tracking — Vault Pro links code changes to the items they relate to.
SourceSafe migration — carries over features such as Share and Pin.
Tool integration — works with Visual Studio and Eclipse, with a cross-platform client and a Java command line client.
