Alienbrain

Alienbrain is a centralised version control system built for digital artists and designers. It stores, versions and shares any file type through a visual interface, and it suits remote teams working on large game, film and simulation assets.

Main features

• Visual browsing: thumbnails and previews, including for 3D scenes, so assets can be found at a glance.
• Version history: a full record of each asset, with comparison and rollback to earlier revisions.
• File locking: one user at a time can edit a file, which suits binary art files that cannot easily be merged.
• Tool integrations: plug-ins for Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya and Photoshop.
• Selective download: users pull only the files they need from the central server.
