Lumiko

Lumiko is a screen recorder built as a Chrome extension on Manifest V3, aimed at the work of making a product demonstration or a piece of documentation look deliberate. Its central feature is automatic camera work: it tracks cursor movement and clicks and generates the zoom and pan from them, which removes the keyframing that normally makes a two-minute demo an hour of editing. Around that sit a browser-based timeline for trimming and reordering clips, a smart blur for hiding credentials and customer data in a recording, a webcam bubble overlay and export up to 4K. The privacy position is unusually clean for this category and is stated in the product's own FAQ: recording and export processing happen locally in the browser, and the company states it does not upload, view or retain recordings. There is no account required for the free tier. Pricing is a free version and a Pro licence at $9 as a one-off payment — advertised as reduced from $29 — which removes the watermark, enables 4K export and covers three devices for life. Two honest caveats. The maker is named on the launch rather than on the site, which carries no company name at all, so there is a single person behind it and no stated company to support it. And another product called Lumiko exists — an unrelated communication app for a Polish kindergarten — so the one listed here is the screen recorder at lumiko.dev.
