13 July 2026: UBTECH Robotics has signed Terra Robotics, a European robotics integrator, as its exclusive distributor and strategic partner for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Terra, which is backed by Wortmann AG, has bought an initial batch that the release describes as several dozen full-size humanoids with embodied intelligence.
Not yet independently verified. All sales and revenue figures are UBTECH's own claims. We will update this when it can be confirmed, and remove this note.
A pilot in drugstore logistics
The robots are deployed in industrial settings, including the logistics centres of ROSSMANN, a European health, beauty and consumer goods retailer. According to the release, ROSSMANN operates in 10 countries and has annual turnover above EUR 15 billion.
UBTECH calls the project a long-term, large-scale pilot at a major European retail company and a landmark case for commercial deployment across retail, logistics and manufacturing. Walker S2 handles repetitive tasks such as material handling and sorting in live warehouse settings, which UBTECH says shows the stability and viability of the product in real use. The company will collect staff feedback and operational data to refine its full-size humanoids for the European market, and says the project supports its overseas revenue growth this year.
What Terra brings
Wortmann AG is described as a major European IT manufacturer. Terra supplies local market expertise, technical integration capability and an extensive service network. UBTECH says the arrangement shifts it from exporting products to exporting scenario-specific solutions and ecosystems, with expansion planned in logistics, retail and industrial manufacturing across Europe.
UBTECH's own numbers
The company states these 2025 figures:
- total revenue above RMB 2 billion, which it says makes it the highest-revenue humanoid robotics company in the world
- RMB 820 million of that from full-size humanoids
- 1,079 full-size humanoids sold, which UBTECH says ranks first globally
- over 80 percent of application scenarios in automotive manufacturing, smart logistics, 3C electronics, semiconductor manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing and industrial data acquisition
UBTECH describes itself as the first publicly listed humanoid robot company, and defines its full-size units as non-remote-controlled, non-toy robots taller than 160 cm.
What Walker S2 is specified to do
The Walker S2 product page lists a 15 kg payload and a high-torque waist servo that rotates plus or minus 162 degrees. The torso can pitch 125 degrees while handling a 15 kg load, with a workspace from 0 to 1.8 m.
Power is a dual-battery design that can run in dual-battery or single-battery mode. The robot swaps batteries itself, hot-swapping through dual-arm coordination in the company's words within 3 minutes, and it monitors the batteries in real time to choose between swapping and charging according to task priority.
Vision is pure RGB binocular stereo built into the head, using deep-learning depth estimation to produce real-time dense depth maps. The software is BrainNet 2.0 with Co-Agents, which the page describes as a dual-loop AI system for task-driven swarm intelligence on production lines.
The wider product range
UBTECH's site lists humanoids including Walker S2, Walker S1, Walker S, Walker C1, Walker C, Walker X, Cruzr Y1, Cruzr S2, U1 PRO and Panda Robot. It also lists commercial models, AI education kits and a consumer range that covers robot vacuums, pool cleaners and robotic lawn mowers.
