Agility's Digit 5 humanoid will recharge in nine minutes after 90 minutes' work

15 October 2026: Agility Robotics has chosen Nyobolt as the battery technology provider for Digit 5, its next humanoid. The company says the pack runs for 90 minutes and recharges in 9 minutes, a ratio of ten minutes of work to every minute on the charger, which it says allows more than 20 hours of operation in a 24-hour day.

The numbers behind the battery

Digit 4 managed a run-to-charge ratio of 2:1. Digit 5 raises that to 10:1, and Agility says the rapid charge is designed to support more than two shifts in a single day. Nyobolt describes its battery as combining fast charging, long cycle life and reduced system weight, and says it is designed to remove the power bottleneck that has limited the economics of autonomous robot fleets.

Chief Business Officer Daniel Diez of Agility said, "For our customers, Digit's uptime is the business case." He also said, "Digit 5 will deliver more than 20 hours of productive work in a 24-hour day, more than two full shifts."

Who it is for and when

The target customers are warehouse, distribution and manufacturing operators. Early access to Digit 5 with the Nyobolt battery is expected in the first half of 2027, and availability is expected to widen over the following six to nine months. Agility describes the specifications and dates as expectations.

Agility calls Digit 5 its first humanoid designed for cooperatively safe work at scale, which means it can work close to people. The company cites more than 65,000 hours of real-world operation.

Nyobolt: the supplier

Nyobolt was founded in 2019 in Cambridge, England, and develops high-power, fast-charging energy systems for power-demanding industries. Its technology combines proprietary anode materials, advanced cell design and integrated power electronics. Its applications include AI data centres, robotics and humanoids, and mobility.

Nyobolt chief executive Sai Shivareddy said, according to the release, that the company's technology was chosen because Digit 5 needs more power from a smaller, lighter pack, and that Agility set a very high standard for battery durability in live warehouse and manufacturing settings.

The release names Nyobolt as the exclusive battery technology provider for Digit 5, and lists Agility's reliance on that single supplier among its stated risk factors.

A listing on the way

Agility is preparing to become a public company through a business combination with Churchill Capital Corp XI, a blank-check company listed on Nasdaq as CCXI. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, and the combined company is expected to operate as Agility Robotics and trade under the ticker AGLT. The US Securities and Exchange Commission declared the registration statement effective on 13 October 2026.

Agility is headquartered in Salem, Oregon, with offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Fremont, California. Its general-purpose humanoid, Digit, is commercially deployed today.
