CityWorks

Cityworks is an asset management system used by local governments and utility agencies to issue and follow service requests and work orders. It is built around GIS data, and the vendor site now presents it under the name Trimble Unity Maintain, which carries Cityworks and AgileAssets together.

What Cityworks offers

• Spatial analysis — embedded Esri ArcGIS maps with linear referencing support.
• Risk and planning — assesses high-risk assets and compares what-if scenarios for budgets and timelines.
• Dashboards and reports — shows the reasoning behind strategic decisions.
• Citizen portal — public access for requests and status.

Who it works with

Asset networks of many sizes, including local utilities, cities, state transport agencies, airports, healthcare and education. Central Arkansas Water has used it since 2008 with ArcGIS, for example in a valve inspection programme.
