TrustList summary

The Terramar is for the driver who wants an SUV but is not ready to go fully electric. Its plug-in hybrid system gives an electric range for short trips with a petrol engine for longer journeys. Cupra calls it a sporty compact SUV, and the top VZ version produces up to 272 PS from its 1.5 litre e-Hybrid system with an automatic DSG gearbox.

Electric range and charging

Cupra gives an electric range of between 69 and 73 miles (up to about 117 km). The car accepts DC fast charging of up to 50 kW, and a charge from 10 to 80 percent takes about 26 minutes at that power. A 204 PS version sits below the 272 PS VZ.

Trims and price

Three trims are sold in the UK: V1 from £38,015, V2 from £40,610 and VZ from £42,210. Cupra says these on-the-road prices include delivery, number plates, the registration fee, the first year of vehicle excise duty and 20 percent VAT. The car shown is the VZ with Matt Bronze paint, 20 inch Hadron wheels and a panoramic sunroof, priced at £53,650 with those options.

Technology and safety

Connected Travel Assist includes adaptive cruise control. Parking is helped by Intelligent Park Assist, Trained Park Assist and Remote Parking Assist, which moves the car from a smartphone. The remote functions need a registered primary user, Bluetooth and an internet connection. A windscreen head-up display and a top view camera come from the V2 upward, and the V1 has a rear view camera. The My CUPRA app handles the climate, charging and vehicle information. Euro NCAP gave the Terramar five stars in 2025.
