Rydin PermitExpress

Rydin PermitExpress, shortened to RPE, manages parking programmes online. It comes from Rydin, a US family business whose Streamwood, Illinois, site produces parking permits, hang tags and decals. The software connects online parking administration with the company's own printing and mailing, so one supplier can cover registration, permits and enforcement.

What Rydin PermitExpress offers

• Driver portal — drivers sign up their vehicles, agree to the parking rules, buy permits and contest citations.
• Permit printing — permits are printed in-house and posted to drivers or shipped in bulk to the customer.
• RPE Cite — a phone app for iOS and Android that officers use to read plates or permits, photograph violations and issue citations, optionally with Bluetooth printers.
• Dashboards — administrators see revenue, active permits and enforcement.
• Data exchange — can pass data to campus student records systems, Banner being one, using file transfers or an API.

Who it works with

Higher education, hospital groups, local councils and school districts. Case studies on its site cover West Texas A&M University, Moffitt Cancer Center and Marietta College.
