“Segnavia” is Italian and means “signpost”. With the Business Transformation Suite cloud software, Signavio navigates more than 1,000 customers through their everyday workflows, processes, and decisions - and thus through the constant change in the markets.

our philosophy: Many companies today are faced with the task of constantly changing or reinventing themselves in order to respond to the demands of the market. Whether it is about new technologies, changed guidelines or the team's know-how, there is always the question of the direction in which companies are heading in order to be successful in the long term. Only those who keep an eye on the knowledge of the individual processes of their company and include them in important decisions will change in the right direction.

That is why Signavio has developed a guide for workflows, processes, and decisions: the Business Transformation Suite The cloud software for the collaborative process and decision management offers companies orientation in times of constant change.

How it all started: Like a road map, a professional process, decision, and workflow management system shows the central routes and directions within an organization: If you use your finger to drive the route from start to finish, you can see the individual sections of the route and intersections and recognize which points overlap or where there is work. This knowledge only arises across departmental and hierarchical boundaries - as a collaborative project for the whole team.

The goal of four students from the Hasso Plattner Institute in Potsdam was to develop software that is based on this cross-team process knowledge. They had recognized the importance of cross-departmental knowledge for modeling processes and workflows. While this approach shaped academic discourse at the time, there was no collaborative platform that allowed companies to access the process knowledge of the entire team.

Therefore, the students started a research project: They developed a modeling tool that was based on the interactive and collaborative elements of Web 2.0. This idea gave rise to the first software prototype in 2006 - and Signavio in 2009. The founders launched the Signavio Process Manager, the first collaborative and completely web-based BPM software.
