Cegeka Deutschland GmbH

Cegeka was founded in 1988 as part of the reconstruction plan of the coal mine in De Kempen. At the time, it consisted of a data center and about 30 employees who provided mainframe services for a limited number of customers. In 1991 VCST (Volvo Cars Sint-Truiden) became a new shareholder of Cegeka. Our founder André Knaepen was then IT manager at VCST.

There was no long-term vision. Services were scheduled to cease in 1992, but things turned out differently. André Knaepen invested his savings in Cegeka and bought all the shares. He gave his employees the promise to make Cegeka successful.

André Knaepen grew up in a simple family, in which values ​​such as common sense, respect, honesty, authenticity and entrepreneurship played a special role. Together with a team of committed people and a strong vision, these values ​​form the foundation on which our future is built.
