Arima was founded in 1994 by a group of engineers and specialists in operations management, then studying MBA. In 1996, with the collaboration of their very first client, Louis Garneau Sports, they completed the development of the first version of Syncrun production planning software. Syncrun technology is quickly proven in several factories across Canada. Customers like Cascades, RockTenn, and Plastipak report significant reductions in their costs and manufacturing times. In 2006, Arima incorporated concepts of artificial intelligence into its optimization technology, thus enabling the resolution of more complex scheduling problems without sacrificing the ease of use and speed of resolution for which it is renowned. From 2010, Syncrun made its mark overseas by becoming the daily optimization tool for several Rio Tinto and Pacific Aluminum factories located in Asia and Europe. Today, Arima is proud of its position as the Canadian leader in the development of scheduling solutions. Globally, Syncrun is among the very first production optimization technologies available in the cloud.
