Redcort Software

Redcort Software is a Californian developer behind Virtual TimeClock, a program that turns ordinary Mac and Windows computers into staff clock-in stations. The company traces its work back to 1986, when founder Keith DeLong wrote one of the first commercial time clock programs for the Apple Macintosh. It sells the software as a one-time purchase, with no recurring subscription.

What Redcort Software offers

• Virtual TimeClock — staff punch in and out on a shared computer, and the software totals hours worked and overtime.
• Leave and absence tracking — records paid time off, leave and overtime alongside normal hours.
• Payroll export — passes hours to payroll systems such as QuickBooks, ADP, Paychex, Gusto, Paylocity, SurePayroll, AccountEdge and CheckMark.
• Editions — Basic, Pro and Network versions, sized to the team and set-up.
• Set-up help — its team demonstrates features and helps customers install a trial copy.

Who it works with

The program is aimed at small and mid-sized businesses in many industries that want to replace paper timecards and cut payroll errors.
